Lend Lease Retail has signed Office, Bank and Fragrance Shop for a total of 10,000 sq ft of retail space in the new extension to Golden Square, Warrington. The £120m development, which includes the construction of a 365,000 sq ft extension and refurbishment of the existing centre, is on schedule for completion in March 2007.

Shoe retailer Office has taken a 4,000 sq ft unit close to the new 115,000 sq ft Debenhams store on a ten-year lease. Fashion retailer Bank has also signed a ten-year lease on a 5,500 sq ft unit while Fragrance Shop will be taking a new 500 sq ft unit.

Other retailers already signed to take units at Golden Square include H&M, Next, Boots, Topshop, Republic, Sports World, WHSmith, Beaverbrooks and The Perfume Shop.

Rachel Broughton, leasing manager for Golden Square, said: “The signing of Bank and Office is further evidence of Warrington becoming a fashion destination in its own right. These new lettings, together with those already signed, will help provide a quality regional fashion destination that will make Warrington one of the UK’s top 40 retail destinations.

Letting agents are Lunson Mitchenall and Tushingham Moore.
