Published:  01 December, 2006

Marks & Spencer has signed up as the second anchor at Wilson Bowden's

Eagles Meadow shopping centre in Wrexham, North Wales. The resurgent retailer will take a 35,000 sq ft store, more than doubling its presence in the town. And another 32,000 sq ft unit is under offer to Next.

Eagles Meadow is currently under construction with opening scheduled for September 2008. In addition to the two anchor stores Tenpin has signed up for a 26,000 sq ft unit to accommodate 24 bowling lanes and a further 24,000 sq ft is under offer to other national retailers.

Wilson Bowden Developments' retail director Will Robinson said: “We are delighted to have secured two of the strongest department stores as anchors for Eagles Meadow. To gain a commitment from both retailers is quite an achievement and highlights the massive potential of the shopping centre.”

Jones Lang LaSalle and Cushman &Wakefield are letting agents for the development.
