My Travel has assigned the leasehold interest in Unit W3, St Nicholas Centre to Hutchison 3G. The premises comprise 1,005 sq ft at ground floor and 850 sq ft at basement level. The existing lease expires in 2019 and the passing rent is £147,065 pa. Hutchison received a six-month rent-free period. Culverwell advised My Travel and Michael Peddar & Co advised Hutchison 3G.

Rosebys has surrendered its lease in the Harpur Centre back to the landlord. The space has been reconfigured and let to Julian Graves and Card Factory. Julian Graves, advised by Harmer Ray Hoffbrand, has taken a 10-year lease on 658 sq ft at £40,000 pax. Card Factory, represented by Fawley Watson Booth, has taken 1,355 sq ft on a 10-year lease at £60,000 pax. CB Richard Ellis and twentyretail represented the landlord.


Prudential Property Investment Managers has let Unit 3a at Hathaway Retail Park to Dreams. The bed specialist has agreed a new 15-year lease on the 4,300-sq ft unit at £10,1050 pa, which equates to £23.50 psf. PruPIM was represented by Savills and Cushman & Wakefield.


Glanmore Property Fund has let Unit 1 at Turner Rise Retail Park to Dunelm. The home and soft furnishings retailer has agreed to take a new 15-year lease on the 31,460-sq ft unit at £314,600 pa which equates to £10 psf. The landlord was advised by Savills and Dunelm was represented by Gilbert Bath

Ravenhill Estates has let Unit 16 at the Princess of Wales shopping centre to footwear retailer Shoe Zone. The unit, which totals 2,008 sq ft, has been let on a new 10-year lease at £48,000 pa. Ravenhill Estates was represented by Savills and Donaldsons. Ramsdens advised Shoe Zone.


Halldale's Cream Fund has let 17 Thamesgate shopping centre to Half Price Jewellers. The retailer has taken 1,200 sq ft of ground floor sales on a new 10-year lease at a rent rising to £34,800 pax in the fifth year. HPJ was represented by Wright Silverwood and the landlord was represented by Douglas Stevens & Co.


Standard Life has let Unit 44-45, The Marlowes to Virgin Megastore. The music retailer has taken 5,000 sq ft on a 10-year lease at a rent of £142,500 pa. The landlord was advised by Strutt & Parker and Churston Heard. Colliers CRE represented Virgin Megastore.

Landlord Town Centre Security Holdings has let 42-44 Woodhouse Lane, which forms part of the external frontage of the Merrion Centre, to Costa Coffee. The Italian coffee shop has taken a new 10-year lease on the unit, which totals 4,295 sq ft, at £47,500 pa. The landlord was represented by Savills and Harmer Ray Hoffbrand. Costa Coffee was represented by Fawley Watson Booth.

Subway has acquired Unit 53B, Cross Gate shopping centre. The sandwich franchise has taken a new 15-year lease from landlord Donegall Place Investments. The unit, which totals 602 sq ft, has been let at £32,500 pa. Subway was represented by Savills and Donegall Place Investments was represented by Colliers CRE.


Phoenix Life & Pensions has leased 746 sq ft at 43B South Mall in the Hill Street shopping centre to Talk Time Mobile Phones at £47,000 pax. Kitchen La Frenais Morgan was letting agent.


Centenary Investments' Active Retail Rookery Fund has let 7a Wellington Street, The Rookery Centre, to Shenlong on a five-year lease at £10,500 pa with two months rent free. The unit is 258 sq ft. Kitchen La Frenais Morgan was letting agent.


Watch and accessories retailer Storm has taken a new 10-year lease on Unit 16a in the Peacock Place shopping centre. The unit provides 1,205 sq ft and a rent of £37,000 pa was agreed. White Rock Properties is asset manager on behalf of Development Securities and twentyretail and Lambert Smith Hampton are letting agents.

Marie Curie Cancer Care has assigned the lease on the 480-sq ft 22 Regent Walk with first floor storage to First Choice Retail. The store is held on a 10-year lease at a passing rent of £26,000 pa. Alder King and GVA Lamb & Edge acted for Marie Curie Cancer Care and Atisreal advised First Choice Retail.


London & Cambridge Properties has leased Unit 19 in the Concourse shopping centre to Streetwise Sports Company on a 10-year lease at a commencing rent of £35,500 pa. The unit provides 1,526 sq ft. Churston Heard and Brady Chartered Surveyors represented the landlord. Savills represented the tenant.


Card Factory has taken a 1,200 sq ft unit in Crystal Peaks shopping centre. A new lease was agreed with the landlord, Hermes, at a rent of £57,500 pax. Card Factory was represented by Churston Heard and Hermes was represented by Douglas Stevens & Co.


Dunedin Property has agreed terms to let Unit 52 Brody Street Mall in the Stretford Mall shopping centre on the edge of Manchester to MID Properties trading as O2. The 650 sq ft unit has been let on a new 15-year lease at an initial rent of £28,500 pa equating to £79.23 zone A. Dunedin Property was advised by Donaldsons and Tushingham Moore.


Running Bare has expanded into the Royal Victoria Place shopping centre by taking a new 10-year lease at a rent of £38,000 pa exclusive for a 400 sq ft store. Briant Champion Long advised Westfield and Douglas Stevens & Co advised Running Bare.


London & Cambridge Properties has let Unit 36 The Wulfrun shopping centre to Subway on a 10-year lease at £39,000 pa. The unit provides 1,115 sq ft. Churston Heard and Tromans & Co advised the landlord.


=== M&S Caters for Canterbury ===

Marks & Spencer has taken additional space within Land Securities' Whitefriars shopping centre in Canterbury, part of which will be used to launch its new M&S Kitchen operation.

Marks & Spencer has taken Unit 32, which totals 7,761 sq ft on ground, first and second floors, and adjoins its Gravel Walk store. The ground floor area of 2,601 sq ft will be used for its new catering operation, while the first and second floor space will be incorporated into the main store.

Elsewhere in Whitefriars, Claire's Accessories has taken 16 St George's Street on a new 10-year lease at £120,000 pa. The 1,150 sq ft ground floor unit had previously been occupied by Tchibo.

Leslie Furness and Cushman & Wakefield acted for Land Securities in both deals while CBRE acted for Marks & Spencer and Savills acted for Claire's Accessories.
