Marks & Spencer Simply Food and New Look have become the first retailers to sign leases at Centenary Asset Management's 55,000-sq ft extension to the Priory shopping centre. Marks & Spencer has signed a new 15-year lease on 13,000 sq ft, while New Look has taken a new 15-year lease on 13,400 sq ft at £165,000 pa. New Look is relocating from its existing store in Bridge Place. Donaldsons and Fisher Hargreaves Proctor are letting agents for the scheme.

Mourant Trustees, the owner of Liverpool's Metquarter, has secured three new fashion tenants. The Sixty Group has acquired two units at the Metquarter for Energie and Miss Sixty. Energie will trade in Unit 39a, which totals 3,200 sq ft over ground and mezzanine floors. The retail space has been taken on a 10-year lease at £100,000 pa, with 12 months rent free. Miss Sixty will occupy unit 39b, which is also 3,200 sq ft over ground and mezzanine. The lease terms are the same as unit 39a. Fossil has acquired unit 18, providing 1,006 sq ft, on a 10-year lease at £78,000 pa. It will trade as a Fossil Accessory store. Markham Vaughan Gillingham is letting agent and both Fossil and Sixty Group were advised by Harper Dennis Hobbs.

Standard Life Investments, advised by Strutt & Parker, has let unit 7b at The Water Gardens to HSBC. The bank has taken the ground floor retail unit, which will provide 6,089 sq ft, on 10-year leases at a £36 per sq ft, for the main section.
Rob Williams, partner in Strutt & Parker's retail team, said: "Substantial growth is envisaged in Harlow over the coming years, particularly given its unrivalled position within the M11 growth corridor.
"The scheme has already attracted an impressive list of tenants. It is anchored by Asda and other tenants include Topshop, Next, HMV, JD Sports, River Island, Sports World, Esporta, Pizza Hut and Nando's. The two remaining units within the scheme, of 7,994 and 3,680 sq ft respectively, are both under offer to major fashion retailers."
