Topshop takes St Stephen’s to 80 per cent pre-let

St Stephen’s, ING Real Estate’s 540,000 sq ft mixed-use scheme in Hull is now 80 per cent pre-let ahead of its opening this September. The development, which is being forward funded by British Land, has seen a raft of new retailer lettings lead by top fashion brands Topshop and Dorothy Perkins and including names such as Clarks and Starbucks, while the leisure offer has been boosted by lettings to cinema operator Reel and hotel group Foremost.
Topshop has taken an 18,341 sq ft unit and will trade on two floors next to New Look and opposite Oasis. And Dorothy Perkins will also trade on two floors in a 6,952 sq ft unit adjacent to Next.
Clarks has taken a 5,160 sq ft unit over two floors located next to New Look and opposite River Island.
Starbucks has taken 2,013 sq ft in a stunning suspended mall catering ‘pod’ and fashion retailer Select has taken a 4,445 sq ft unit.
On the leisure front, Reel will operate a seven-screen cinema from 12,250 sq ft. And Foremost Hotels, trading as Express by Holiday Inn, has also signed to operate the 120 bed hotel on the site.
Siep Hoeksma, Chief Operating Executive of ING Real Estate’s development business said: “St Stephen’s is attracting top retail and leisure brands to Hull as it breathes new life into this once run down part of the city centre.”
