Victoria Square is 80 per cent prelet

Multi Development has signed another tranche of retailers at Victoria Square, its £320m regeneration scheme in Belfast's city centre. Arcadia's Topshop has been confirmed as the final anchor tenant and Ted Baker, Tom Tailor, Prezzo, Monsoon/Accessorize and JD Sports have also signed up for the mall which opens in March 2008.

Topshop is taking a 40,000 sq ft two-level unit at the William Street South entrance to the scheme. The space was at one time allocated for Marks & Spencer, but now it will become Arcadia's largest store in Ireland when the brand relocates from its existing premises on Donegall Place.

Ted Baker is taking a 3,574-sq ft unit on the lower ground floor for its first store in Belfast. And German fashion brand Tom Tailor will make its UK and Irish debut with a 5,586-sq ft store on the upper ground level. Italian restaurant Prezzo, also new to Belfast, will take a 3,110-sq ft unit on the second floor level. And Monsoon and Accessorize will more than triple their presence in Belfast, occupying an 8,675-sq ft unit on the lower ground floor. Also increasing its presence in Belfast is JD Sports, which has committed to a 9,259-sq ft store

Multi Development's leasing manager Richard Green said: "Our latest five deals demonstrate further evidence of new names and exciting brands coming to Victoria Square. We are now in excess of 80 per cent pre-let, demonstrating the market perception that the prime pitch in Belfast has moved."

DTZ London acted for Multi Development on the Ted Baker, Prezzo, Monsoon & Accessorize and JD Sports deals and Savills Hamilton Osborne King acted on the Tom Tailor deal.
