Princes’ Liz facing the music

Published:  01 October, 2004

Creative challenges lie ahead for Liz Bailie, centre manager of Glasgow’s Princes Square, after the release of a CD composed especially for the centre.

Liz believes her commissioning of Glaswegian Bobby James Henry to produce the daytime music was a first for a UK centre.

Now she is working on further musical ventures to complement the night-time environment.

“We are going to create some music for night-time, when Princes Square’s nine bars and restaurants change the atmosphere,” she says.

“And then we are working on plans to turn the centre into a major music venue, featuring Glasgow artists.”

Bass-playing Liz is keeping quiet on some of the artists being lined up but they include some of the biggest names in the business.
