A team from Rockspring Property Investment Managers raised over £80,000 in a seven day, 1,200km cycle ride from Aberdeen to Southampton to raise money for Whizz Kids, Marie Curie Cancer Care and The Elifar Foundation.

Using Rockspring’s shopping centres to shape their route, the cyclists left the Trinity centre, Aberdeen and cycled via St Nicholas, Lancaster and St Tydfil, Merthyr Tydfil before finishing their ride in Southampton. Over the week the team – which included Charles Baigler, Richard Bains, Maria Bergliden-French, Bert Broadhead, Allen Chilten, Paul Crosbie, Hugh Elrington, Andrew Grainger, Arnaud Le Mintier, James McGowan, Rod Mordey, Michael Pryer and James Rodge – endured a variety of weather conditions, numerous injuries, multiple punctures and other bike related malfunctions.

MD Edmund Craston, said: “We are thrilled that we were able to exceed our initial fund raising goal by such a margin.”
