Celebrity pop up at Silverburn
Published: 22 August, 2013
Silverburn is to host its second celebrity pop-up shop, as the mall welcomes reality TV star Lydia Bright with her own fashion boutique, Bella Sorella.
The 2,270 sq ft store is open for four days and will be the brand’s only one in Scotland.
The store will stock pieces from the ‘Lydia Rose Bright’ clothing collection, as well as homewares, accessories and gifts.
Ex-cast member of The Only Way is Essex, Lydia will visit Silverburn for the opening of the shop, set-up with sister, Georgia Bright.
Martin Plocica, director (UK) shopping centres at Hammerson, said: “We are delighted Silverburn has been selected as the only venue in Scotland for the Bella Sorella pop-up. The store follows the highly successful 1D World pop-up last month, another first in Scotland, and reinforces Silverburn’s appeal to innovative brands targeting a large, affluent and fashion-focused catchment.”
The sisters began their joint owned business one year ago. Since the launch, the Bella Sorella has an online presence as well as a UK tour of pop-up stores that began on July 18 in London.
Along with Silverburn, Bella Sorella opened pop-ups at WestQuay and Cabot Circus in the Hammerson portfolio.
The news follows the announcement last month that Hammerson has signed Cineworld to anchor its 115,000 sq ft leisure extension of Silverburn. As well as the 50,000 sq ft, 14-screen Cineworld, the development will include nine new restaurants, Gala Bingo, additional retail and upgraded public realm. The extension opens in spring 2015.
