LAND SECURITIES has appointed AILISH CHRISTIAN as head of shopping centres and POLLY TROUGHTON as head of retail parks and leisure. Christian joined Land Securities from LaSalle Investment Management and Jones Lang LaSalle in 2008. Troughton joined Land Securities as part of the acquisition of the X-Leisure where she was property director for 10 years.

Retail property consultant SPACE has recruited MARTIN HERBERT from Lambert Smith Hampton where he was regional head of retail for the Midlands. And STUART KIDDIE joins from Smith Price.

DTZ has hired three senior surveyors to its retail asset management team in Birmingham. DAVID CLARK joins from Blue Marble Properties in Worcester where he was head of commercial management. He will be responsible for the management of Telford shopping centre, Grand Arcade in Cambridge and Caxtongate in Birmingham. DAVID FEE joins from Savills in Dublin and will be responsible for the Mander Centre in Wolverhampton. And PETER BOYDEN joins from BNP Paribas Real Estate to take responsibility for the Swan Centre in Kidderminster and Lower Precinct centre in Coventry.

CBRE has recruited HUGH RADFORD, JERRY WHITE and NIGEL COSTAIN from DTZ. Radford becomes chairman of Central London retail in addition to becoming strategic advisor for shopping centres across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. White and Costain join the shopping centre leasing team.

SAVILLS has boosted its Central London retail team with the appointment of SARAH COHEN as a director. She joins from CBRE where she spent eight years specialising in Central London retail.

GCW has appointed PHILIPPE MICHAEL from JLL’s shopping centre management team. And TIM ASHE joins from niche property consultancy Cousins West. Both will work across the 33 centres the firm manages.

SUE SHEPHERD has been appointed centre manager at London Designer Outlet. She joins the REALM onsite management team after previous roles at Nike Outlet, Sainsbury’s and Disney Store.
