Intu launches apprenticeship scheme
Published:  23 March, 2016

Plan to recruit 20 apprentices over the course of 2016

Intu is about to roll out its first national apprenticeship scheme following a successful pilot last year. The new programme will see Intu recruit, train and employ 20 apprentices who will, in their first year, gain experience from within every area of its business before moving on to a specialised field.

The programme will guarantee each individual a full time role with intu following the completion of their apprenticeship which will range from two to four years depending on their chosen business area.

Bernie Kingsley, HR director of intu, said: “We have worked closely with our national training partner First4Skills to develop a high quality apprenticeship programme. In its first year the programme will support 20 new apprentices, helping them to gain vital new experience, skills and qualifications within a range of different business areas such as marketing, customer service and facilities management.

“This new national apprenticeship programme builds on the success of our pilot programme launched last year. Recruiting the next generation of employees is something that we’re taking very seriously with this new scheme and our long-term commitment to create new fulltime roles for every apprentice who completes their training with us.”
