Queensberry Real Estate has confirmed that five brands have agreed to take space at The Kingsway Centre in Newport. The announcement will see Bonmarché, Starbucks, Shoe Zone, Newport Barbers and Bodycare, join the centre’s existing line-up.

Bonmarché, the ladies fashion and plus size women's clothing brand, has secured a 4,725-sq ft store on a five year lease, whilst American coffee brand, Starbucks, has signed to take a 1,950-sq ft unit on a 15 year lease. Shoe Zone, the discount footwear retailer, and Newport Barbers, a local barber company, have signed five year leases for a 3,250-sq ft unit and a 250-sq ft space respectively. Bodycare, which sells skin and beauty products, has also confirmed its commitment to the centre with a planned store refurbishment and by signing a new five year lease.

Daniel Mead, senior asset manager, Queensberry Real Estate, commented: “We are experiencing a clear growth in Newport and the development of Friars Walk has been central to this. It is bucking the retail trend in this area of South Wales and has given a massive boost to the area, doubling the size of Newport’s catchment.”
