£10m refurb pays off with increased occupancy and footfall

Seven new retailers includi Smiggle, Schuh, Select, New Look Men and Pandora have opened at Treaty Centre, following a spate of signings in the last 12 months.

New Look has relocated to the ground floor of the centre, to occupy a 9,326-sq ft unit. And River Island has demonstrated its commitment to the scheme, signing a new longer term lease.

New Look Men has signed to take a 2,770-sq ft unit joining Schuh and Select which have taken 4,574 and 3,335 sq ft respectively. Other retail brands which have opened in the centre include The Works in 2,116 sq ft and Pandora in 1,493 sq ft. The latest signing is Smiggle which will take occupation before Christmas.

Tony Yiannakis, partner at Quidnet Capital, said: “We invested heavily in 2014 to renovate Treaty Centre and bring in the big name fashion brands Next and H&M. This commitment has paid off with a host of other national and international brands following them. We are seeing an increase in footfall as more and more locals from in and around Hounslow are choosing to shop here.”
