The centre – in which 85 per cent of the 473,000 sq ft of floor space is let and trading -
has seen a month on month increase in footfall with a record in May of 495,000.
Recent lettings include the Post Office and Lloyds Pharmacy and a further four new tenants are expected in the coming months, including The Entertainer which plans to open in August.
The Ł140m centre opened on 11 July 2013 and features a six-screen Odeon cinema, a number of high street brands including Primark, Next, River Island, H&M, Blue Inc, Bank, Outfit and Deichmann as well as Prezzo, Harvester, Costa and Nando’s.
The centre will mark its anniversary with a two-day Caribbean carnival featuring calypso bands, carnival dancers, Caribbean food and limbo dancing workshops.
Centre manager, Steve Burr, said: “We are extremely happy with footfall and the way that the centre is trading, with more new stores coming soon we look forward to seeing the centre continue to grow over the coming months.”
