Meyer Bergman submits plans for new cinema and leisure development adjoining the Broadway shopping centre

Meyer Bergman has submitted a planning application to Bradford Council which would transform the mainly vacant property at 14- 20 Broadway into an exciting new six-screen cinema, dining and leisure development.

The application has been made after extensive consultation and received positive support from the vast majority of people, with over 80% of consultation participants backing the plans.

A Meyer Bergman spokesperson said: “While The Broadway shopping centre already has an enviable location, we intend to add to this distinctive environment through this scheme.”

The Broadway shopping centre is set to open on Thursday 5 November. Over 70 per cent of the £260m shopping centre’s units have now been filled, with leading retailers including Debenhams, Next, H&M and Marks & Spencer already signed up.
