Belfast Office Properties has announced plans for a major reconfiguration of the Ards shopping centre in Newtownards, Northern Ireland led by two new anchor retail lettings. The £7m project will see the creation of 45,000 sq ft of new space split into three anchor retail units and a new restaurant/cafe.
The first confirmed anchor tenant is TK Maxx which will be taking 23,000 sq ft while variety retailer B&M Bargains has signed for a 10,000-sq ft unit. Both stores are due to open in September. And Belfast Office Properties said talks are in advanced stages with a leading café brand and another national anchor retailer to take the two remaining units.
